This 1997 Merlot is made from fruit sourced from the Tatachilla Clarendon Vineyard. Situated 215 metres above sea level, Clarendon Vineyard's cooler viticultural conditions yield Merlot grapes which enables our winemakers to craft a flavoursome and complex wine that is ready to enjoy now, yet able to cellar and develop.

Grape Variety

: 100% Merlot

Vineyard: Single vineyard, Clarendon, South Australia.

Colour : Deep plum with purple hues.

Bouquet : Plum, mulberry, cranberry and spice aroma with subtle vanillin nuttiness.

Palate : Soft and full flavoured plum and cranberry. Sixteen months in French oak has given a slight oak nuttiness with great length and fine complex tannins.

Serve : Open one to two hours before drinking. Serve in large glasses. Excellent with baked Salmon and Roast Lamb.

Alcohol : 14.0% vol
