Wine Bouquet Developing cedar, cigar box & leathery overtones. Ripe berry fruit with mint, liquorice, and coffee characters. Wine Palate Mint, spice and stewed fruit of black currant and cherry. An elegantly structured wine with complexities of mushroom and earthiness. The palate has great persistence of flavour supported by supple French Oak tannins. Suggested Food Matching Perfect with Porterhouse steak and mushroom sauce. Perfect by itself, after a meal or as an accompaniment to a quality cheese platter. Critics Notes “...the Clare Valley, an area famous (in my mind at least) for deep, dark, minty Cabernet Sauvignon. This premium label (wine) is bigger and more dense than most. It has masses of ripe berry and choc-mint flavours with toast and leather from bottle development.
