BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Each vintage BVE select only the best fruit for the E&E range from a base of 70 growers with vineyards throughout the Barossa Valley. The E&E wines emanate predominantly from 60 year old vines in the north-east of the Barossa which produce only a meagre yield, 0.5-3 tonnes an acre. These specially selected grapes provide full concentration of flavour. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE: The close relationship between winemaker and growers has further enhanced this range which has a reputation that continues to grow with each vintage release. Maximum flavour retention and complexity have been achieved through meticulous attention to detail with each individual process. WINEMAKER NATASHA MOONEY’S COMMENTS: COLOUR: Deep red with magenta hues. BOUQUET: The bouquet displays dark plum fruit with hints of nutmeg. PALATE: Soft, opulent mouth filling flavours, plum and blackcurrant fruit with ripe tannins create an alluring wine of great depth and intensity. Matured in 80% American and 20% French oak has given this wine great complexity. CELLARING: This powerful Barossa wine will continue to develop and mature in the bottle over the next 10- 15 years Alcohol: 14.0% by volume Total Acidity: 6.2 grams/litre
