BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The south west of Western Australia stands apart as a wine making oasis and produces some of Australia’s finest wines. None finer than those of Houghton, Western Australia’s most awarded winery. From the cool climate vineyards, Houghton have developed wines with strong regional characteristics and varietal elegance.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?:

The 1999 vintage in Margaret River was outstanding with a mild and prolonged ripening period. Dry land vineyards adapted well to these conditions and produced classical cabernet characters with intense ripe and rich flavours.
